Operations and software consulting for trade contractors
Map how your jobs and money move, pick the right system, set it up, and build what no product covers.
Based in Fuquay-Varina, NC. Triangle first, remote elsewhere.
Under all five is the same problem. The process lives in one person's head, one spreadsheet or one inbox. When that person is out, nobody else can tell where the money is.
Four kinds of work. Hire us for one or for all four.
We write down how jobs, POs, invoices and payments move today, and which handoffs depend on one person or one inbox. Nothing in your systems changes while we look.
Your real cases become tests. Each product runs them in a live demo, and every score says how strong the evidence is.
A staged rollout with old and new running side by side. A short manual for each role. A guide so you can run it without us.
Phone-friendly forms for crews, schedule workbooks, approval flows, and connections between the systems you already have.
Every job gets one identity: customer, community, lot, job. Money moves through four separate stages: authorized, completed, billed, paid. Every dollar is counted once. A bill shared by two lots is split between them, never copied onto both.
Get that right and the hard questions get easy. Which lots are done but not billed? Which invoices were paid short? Did this job make money?

DRC Digital is led by David Robinson, a sheet metal journeyman with more than ten years in commercial HVAC and sheet metal. He has worked as a residential field manager and as a subcontractor project manager in North Carolina. You will not spend the first month explaining what a lot is.
Recommendations come from someone who builds and keeps working tools running: schedule workbooks, request forms, internal web apps and our own books. If a product leaves a gap, the gap can be built, tested and handed over.
Products are scored against your written requirements and your own messy cases, in a live demo. Every score states its evidence. Options come as paths with plain trade-offs, and sometimes the answer is buy, do not build.
David is fluent in Spanish. Field screens and crew paperwork can be set up in the language your crew uses.
Every item on the Work page carries one of three labels, so you always know what you are looking at. Here is one of each.
Client work

In-house
DRC Digital runs its own network of 26 local service websites. On 28 September 2026, Search Console reported 20 of the 26 homepages as submitted and indexed. We also keep our own books in an app we built.
Founder experience
As a field manager at a regional installed building-products company, David built a scheduling workbook, a mobile extra-work request form and an internal requests and approvals app. This is his experience, not DRC Digital client work.
DRC Digital helps trade contractors choose, set up and connect the software that runs a job from purchase order to payment. It maps how your work and money move, writes the requirements, scores products against them, and builds field tools and connections where no product fits. Based in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina.
Owners and office managers of residential and light-commercial trade contractors: concrete, framing, masonry, HVAC, siding, roofing and installers who run the business on spreadsheets, email and apps that do not talk to each other. Work starts in the North Carolina Triangle, with remote engagements elsewhere.
A few lines is enough: your trade, what you use today, and what keeps going wrong.
